FREE ALI AARRASS
An appeal by Farida Aarrass and the Free Ali team.
Dearest friends,
As you already know, my brother Ali Aarrass has been held in arbitrary detention since 1st April 2008 – for almost 11 years now. After being transferred to Tiflet II prison in October 2016, Ali has been subjected to worse conditions whilst in detention.
We got together last night to try and find a solution to this terrible situation. Given that the Belgian government will not help us in any way whatsoever, due to the fact that we’re dual nationals, we’ve only got each other to lean on.
We’ve decided to break the isolation that Ali is living in by visiting him on a more regular basis.
Ali can’t take the isolation anymore.
This is our priority.
In order to be able to do this successfully though, we need your help. We need financial support and/or people to come out to Morocco with us.
The trip will take at least three days, depending on flight schedules and prices.
Today’s the last day of February and so we’re launching an appeal to:
Break the isolation Ali is experiencing by organising 12 trips/visits
We’ll be going out once a month. Ali has 13 months left to serve. We must help him to keep his spirits up in these last months.
